PHOENIX - A DPS officer stopped a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer for several moving violations on October 13 at around 9 A.M., and after officers observed indicators of criminal activity and obtained consent to search the vehicle, found several bundles of cash inside the mounted spare tire of the vehicle.

The total amount seized during the traffic stop was $245,393 and the driver, 62-year-old Wayne Mullins of Medina, Ohio was arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Jail on money laundering charges.

  Oh, I hae consent to search your vehicle, I just think I will look in this spare tire because it looks strange....I think I will look inside this spare tire....OH Christ look what I found $400,000 oooppps I mean $250,000 dollars in cash bundled inside (everyone pats eachother on back). Excellent police work fellas, your keen eye for suspicious things led you to a spare tire that looked as if it may be carrying something inside....... Beers on me. AHHHHH RIGHT
