8 House Dems ask for border fence halt

TUCSON, Ariz. - Eight Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives are asking for a halt to new border fence construction.

In a letter to President Barack Obama, the eight asked for a suspension of fence construction until an evaluation of border security operations being conducted by the new administration is finished.

The letter was signed by Arizona Rep. Raul Grijalva, five Texas lawmakers and two from California.

Tuesday's letter says there are places where fencing is feasible. But the members wrote that the previous administration's policy of using fencing along much of the border was ill-conceived because local communities and local Border Patrol chiefs didn't have ``meaningful input.''

The Texas members include Solomon Ortiz, Silvestre Reyes, Ruben Hinojosa, Ciro D. Rodriguez, and Henry Cuellar. The Californians are Bob Filner and Susan Davis.

  .....are there any fences/walls/security around the homes of these 8 House Dems who are asking for the border fence halt? And the fence around the White House, that's just part of the landscaping right?

We have The Right To Defend Ourselves from Invasions by foriegn countries. But our government won't protect us so it won't be long before we will lose everything our forefathers fought and died for. What is so hard about enforcing our immigration laws??? If you leave your doors unlocked and open you WILL end up losing Everything you own sooner or later. And in this case it Will Be Sooner!!! All we want is for Immigrants to Abide By Our Laws!! But they feel they are Above The Laws That Everyone Else Must Obey. So Kiss It Goodbye because soon it will be Too Late To Stop The Dismal Tide!!!

  For those of you in his District, I suggest you get those petitions ready for his recall. This man is not playing with a full deck, and shows his total disregard for American Immigration laws and the safety of it's citizens. He can move his sorry butt to a nice little casita South of the border and be sure to take his family along. Nothing like being a target for the Mexican cartels. I cannot believe that AZ continues to elect these idiots ! If they are not corrupt (Renzi etc) they are stupid to the point of needing a brain impant to raise their IQs to that of a trained amoeba.
