Cardinals being careful with Warner after taking hit

TEMPE, Ariz - Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner left Sunday's game after taking a blow to the head in the second quarter with what was thought as a possible concussion.
On Monday morning coach Ken Whisenhunt felt Warner would not be out long term and would probably be fine to play next Sunday when the Cardinals travel to Tennessee to play the Titans.
"Seemed fine on the plane last night," Whisenhunt said when talking with Sports 620 KTAR's Doug & Wolf. "He just showed concussion like symptoms it was more precautionary than anything."
Warner was in uniform but on the sideline for the start of the second half as Matt Leinart took over.
Whisenhunt says being careful is just something you have to do when dealing with injuries to the head.
On Sunday Warner had said there was no memory loss, just a "slight" headache after the game.
"I felt pretty good coming out right after halftime, but I just wanted to be smart," Warner said. "It was one of those situations where I didn't feel perfect."
Warner was 15 for 19 for 203 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Cardinals take a 21-3 lead. It was unclear when Warner was injured although he took a hard hit from safety O.J. Atogwe on a blitz on his last drive.
Warner hasn't had a concussion since 2003 when he was the Rams starting quarterback. That game ended up being the last game he would start for St. Louis.
