A Florida woman is unhappy with her mugshot, but not for the reason you may think.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Meagan Simmons, known online as the "attractive convict," is suing over the use of her mugshot online.

Simmons said she had no problem with the image being turned into a meme online and her face being posted all over the Internet, but the site crossed the line when it began using her image without compensation.

This week, however, she indicated she's had enough publicity. In a lawsuit filed in Hillsborough County, Simmons accused the background check website InstantCheckmate.com of using her picture for commercial and advertising purposes, without compensating her or even getting her permission.

InstantCheckmate.com has not responded to media requests for comment.

Simmons said the exposure compromised her peace of mind, invaded her privacy and has caused her anguish. She is seeking compensation and wants to stop companies from using the photo.
