A Fresno, Calif. mail carrier was fired after being caught throwing away mail pertaining to the Affordable Care Act.
According to KMPH-TV, the carrier was seen by a resident near a dumpster and appeared to be acting oddly.
"He just kept glancing over his shoulder over and over again. It was like he knew what he was doing was wrong," said witness Jerry Dills.
Dills took the mail to his local post office and filed a complaint with the Postal Service.
The carrier, who was a temporary worker hired in August, admitted to throwing the mail away because he was worried about getting back to the post office on time.
The carrier was fired immediately.
The Postal Service said the discarded mail is scheduled to be delivered Tuesday.
