Filmmaker calls for Hollywood summit to curb violence
Filmmaker Harvey Weinstein is calling for a summit of his counterparts to discuss how violence in movies affects people.
Weinstein called for the meeting after the Aurora, Colo. shooting that left 12 dead and another 58 wounded.
"I think as filmmakers we should sit down -- the Marty Scorseses, the Quentin Tarantinos and hopefully all of us who deal in violence in movies -- and discuss our role in that," Weinstein said.
Weinstein went on to say that he agrees with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg that more gun control laws are needed.
By the way, we're not implying anything, but Weinstein was behind some of the most violent films in Hollywood, including the Kill Bill series, Inglourious Basterds and Rambo.
Do you think Hollywood needs to change?
