Louis C.K.’s molestation jokes on SNL raise eyebrows

Comedian Louis C.K. raised some eyebrows over the weekend when he made jokes about a child molester on “Saturday Night Live.”
During the show’s 40th season finale, the American jokester talked about how child molesters are “very tenacious people.”
“They love molesting childs,” said Louis C.K. in his opening monologue on SNL. “It’s crazy. It’s like their favorite thing. When you consider the risk of being a child molester — there is no worse life available to a human than being a caught child molester. And yet they still do it! Which you could only really surmise, that it must be really good.”
Jokes like that stirred a lot of conversation going into Monday, US Magazine reported.
“Ultimately, I think we all withhold the right to offend or be offended,” James Corden, host of “The Late Late Show” told the magazine. “Like somehow being offended has become a thing — like, okay, you’re offended, in the same way that you’re hungry. You know what I mean? You are offended, it doesn’t mean — that’s it!”
Corden was not personally offended, but many viewers felt differently.
You could hear the audience’s reaction of disapproval during his monologue, which the comedian didn’t hesitate to react to.
“How do you think I feel, this is my last show, probably,” he joked.
