Weed whacking

If ever I were tempted to experimentally try “devil weed” to see what kind of “reefer madness” it might produce, I’m certainly discouraged now that i’ve heard that cable news personality Nancy Grace is absolutely opposed to it.
I’d never want to disappoint Newshound Nancy, for whom Grace is an ironic name. After all, if I did use any hallucinogenic substance, I’m afraid Nancy Grace might be the subject of my psychotic nightmare.
With 20 states now involved with the distribution of medical marijuana, and more — including Arizona — lining up to get on board the Colorado and Washington psychedelic bandwagon that allows recreational use of pot, must we continue the bankrupting and de-humanizing hypocrisy I call “Prohiition II”?
And, wasn’t “Prohibition I” a big success?
And right now if you are among those opposed to any relaxation of the current laws that categorize it to be the same as heroin, well, you are now in a minority. Up to 58 percent of Americans think marijuana should be legal.
Perhaps because they’ve never heard of a bar fight started by a pothead.
I’m Pat McMahon.
