So now we’ve gotten that Labor Day weekend out of the way and I’m glad.
That has nothing to do with the fashion gods frowning on my continuing use of the white garments in my wardrobe. After all, it is a symbol of purity.
It’s the other post-Labor Day colors that I’m really excited about: team colors on college and professional football uniforms and we get to see them in use just about every day of the week.
What a season to look forward to for ASU. Coach Todd Graham has already proved to be a good hire and the schedule is probably the best and toughest in the history of the school.
Even if they just play well against the likes of Notre Dame, Wisconsin and UCLA, it means more than smashing Thursday’s opponent, Sacramento State.
Of course, if the Sun Devils lose that one, Spanx will be Sparky’s next new look. U of A looks really competitive. I predict that during a Texas A&M home game, Johnny Manziel will go into the stands to sign everyone’s program and will be benched for one timeout. Manti Te’o will find a girlfriend in San Diego only to discover she’s a mermaid and the Arizona Cardinals will be this season’s NFL surprise.
I’m Pat McMahon.
