It happened inside the Wal-Mart at 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road on the evening of Friday, October 6th, 2006.
A 9-year-old girl was in the store with her family, but wasn't being supervised. "And a man approached her, exposed himself to her and then left the area."
Unfortunately, this crime took place in an area of the store where surveillance cameras couldn't capture it. However, "the suspect was seen in other parts of the store where there were video surveillance cameras and the victim was able to identify him through those."
The suspect is described as white, around 30 years old, 200 to 250 pounds and was wearing a hat, blue shirt and brown shorts.
During this holiday season, you'll probably be spending a lot of time shopping with your kids and there will be a lot of distractions. "That's why it's so important to make sure you pay attention to where your children are and to keep them close by because there's a lot of bad people out there - sexual predators who are aroused by exposing themselves to young children take advantage of those opportunities."
