Ned Foster

Ned has been the Valley's morning news voice for over 25 years, the last 20 years on KTAR. He came to Arizona from Los Angeles, where he was Executive Editor at KFWB All News Radio. Before that, he was Program Manager at WOWO in Fort Wayne, after starting his radio career in Boston at WBZ and WBOS.

He grew up in the Boston area, south of the city right on the ocean in Hull. At that time, Hull was best known for Paragon Park, an amusement park that fell to the bulldozers in the 1980s to make room for seaside condos. The Park was where Ned got his first job, working summers on the Congo Cruise ride. (That's what it said on the sign above the ride. It was actually The Tunnel of Love!)

He and his wife, Nancy, live in Mesa. Nancy is Executive Assistant to Denise Resnik at Denise Resnik & Associates. Ned and Nancy have two children - Suzy, Development and Communications director for The HeArt Project in Los Angeles; and Nick, an engineer at Universal Avionics. He and his wife, Stephanie, live in Tucson.

Ned spends his spare time in his garage, working on a 1959 Chevy Apache pickup.

Here's what the truck looked like when he drove it home a few years ago:

Obviously, he has a lot of work to do!
