Doug's NFL Power Poll - Week 9
1
2
New England Patriots: don't like putting the 28th ranked defense this high but 6-1 is what it is…so how are they doing it? +7 in T/O's
3
Indianapolis Colts: you know about the offense but the D is 13 in scoring and 7th against the pass so only the rush D is abysmal…with attention Favre gets at 292 Manning flies under the radar
4
New York Giants: here's the QB rating for NYG's schedule of upcoming games-@28th, vs. unranked, @16th, v4th, v25th, @29th, v16th, @16th & @ 25th…I could give you 40 guesses and you'll never guess that 4th ranked QB
5
Pittsburgh Steelers: giving up only 2 TD's/game and just 59y/rush
6
Atlanta Falcons: +5 in T/O's & 6th in rushing defense is a great combination…only DAL has converted more 4th downs
7
Green Bay Packers: for all the attention Rodgers gets, why is he just the 16th rated passer?...jumped to 4th in scoring defense after shut-out of NYJ
8
New York Jets: a horrible 2 city vacation but a great NFL road trip (@DET & @CLE)…it's impossible for an NFL team to justify it's work ethic, strategy and execution when you get shut-out
9
New Orleans Saints: O relies on the run, thus the struggles (29th)…2nd H vPIT Brees went 20-22 for 191 and 2TD's
10
Kansas City Chiefs: I don't remember the last time a team averaged more yards rushing than passing (190 to 164)…tough divisional road trip @OAK & @DEN (you might think @DEN is easy but check KC's record there the last 15 years
11
Tennessee Titans: anyone else know TEN is the 2nd highest scoring team in the league?
12
Houston Texans: giving up an amazing 300y/g through the air…-8 in sacks
13
Miami Dolphins: this has been going on too long (0-3 @ home, 4-0 on road)…I'm assuming the trend ends @BAL
14
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: still not playing your game coach…21st in O and 25th in D but TB's the best team in the NFC? (yes I know coach, I'm a loser)
15
Philadelphia Eagles: yardage wise the defense is bad but makes up for the problem by being +7 in T/O's…tough stretch-vIND, @WSH & vNYG
16
Chicago Bears: I know there was one bad game against NYG but one game isn't why they're -20 in sacks…Lovie's done if they lose @BUF
17
Oakland Raiders: highest I've ever had OAK in the power poll…4th in scoring O forces team to pass v 5th best pass defense
18
San Diego Chargers: still can't get over owning the NFL Stat page (http://www.nfl.com/stats/team) but only being 3-5
19
Jacksonville Jaguars: when you're 28th in passing offense & 28th in passing defense, who wins in practice?
20
Washington Redskins: Sun-he doesn't know the 2 minute offense, Mon-he's not in shape and Tues you work out 287 lb. JaMarcus Russell…that all makes sense
21
Seattle Seahawks: the best team the NFC West has to offer…an amazing -24 in 1st downs vs opponents
22
St. Louis Rams: 6th in scoring defense while the rookie QB keeps improving…look out!
23
Detroit Lions: I think Best is a good change-of-pace RB but this team is a horse away from being good (30th in rushing offense)
24
Minnesota Vikings: -7 in T/O's but only given up 6 sacks, what's Favre's hurry?
25
Arizona Cardinals: offense is second worst in yards and defense is second worst in points allowed
27
Cincinnati Bengals: biggest disappointment in the NFL (yes, Mike Greenberg)…how is this team +4 in T/O's and still this bad?
28
Dallas Cowboys: : I love that it took this long…I've been saying this for two years, if Garrett would just run the football this team would be so much better
29
San Francisco 49ers: played @SEA in week 1 and still haven't played a division game since so there's still plenty of time…for a team that wanted to win with defense SF needs to be higher than 22nd in scoring D and 15th in Total D
30
Denver Broncos: lowest I've ever had DEN…if DEN was good the schedule would be easy, but they're not so it isn't
31
Carolina Panthers: something's wrong with stats when this is the 4th best D in NFL…played 7 games and scored more than 10 pts in 3 of them
