TUCSON, Ariz. — A brush and grass fire burning in the Chiricahua (cheer-uh-KAH'-wuh) Mountains in southeastern Arizona now is 70 percent contained.

A Coronado National Forest spokeswoman says the fire has so far burned about 250 acres.

The fire is described by officials as creeping and smoldering with minimal activity and isn't threatening any buildings.

The fire was spotted Thursday afternoon and is believed to be human caused.

Sixty firefighters with the Arizona State Department of Forestry are working the blaze along with six engines. There's no estimate yet for full containment.
