PHOENIX — A Phoenix man has found himself in the record books thanks to the small stature of something he built: A car.
As seen in a video on Fox 10, Austin Coulson has created the world’s smallest street legal car. He said the vehicle is 26 inches tall and 52 inches long with a half-gallon fuel tank that gets 85 mpg. The vehicle only reaches about 33 mph in speed.
Coulson said he took about nine months building the car, and then another few months making it street legal — such as adding a horn and high beams.
He said he might be open to selling it one day, and since it’s now in the Guinness Book of World Records, it would probably net him a nice return on his investment.
