In the second film of the series, Hit-Girl is on a hiatus from superhero activity and is adjusting to a life of normalcy.

Meanwhile, Kick-Ass is back and has teamed up with a group of citizens who are self-made costumed superheroes that became inspired to fight crime. Just as Kick-Ass was getting used to the loss of Hit-Girl with his his colleague, a new threat from Red-Mist arises and only Hit-Girl can help them overcome it.

I was a big fan of this series the first time around. I felt that the second installment lacked in some areas and didn't have quite the same magic. I was expecting more from this superhero film, to be honest.
