Juliann Ashcraft was aware that her husband, Andrew, had a dangerous job. Andrew Ashcraft was a firefighter, a member of an elite hotshot team.
That job took his life and 18 others Sunday at the Yarnell Fire, in the worst U.S. wildfire tragedy since 1933.
Ashcraft, 29, left behind four children, all under the age of 6. The family lives in Prescott. Juliann Ashcraft said: “Our kids will remember them as heroes … .”
The widow of the Granite Mountain Hotshot crew spoke with the “Today” show Tuesday.
