Student asks to accompany Billy Joel, who accepts
Sometimes you have to seize the moment.
According to Gawker, Vanderbilt freshman Michael Pollack had an idea during a Jan. 30 question and answer session with Billy Joel.
Pollack, a piano player himself, asked Joel if he could accompany him in a performance of "New York State of Mind" — Pollack's favorite song.
As the video shows, Joel thinks for a minute, then replies with a simple, "Okay."
And what can we take from this? Never be afraid to follow the old saying "carpe diem."
Check out an interview with Pollack on his experience with Joel below.
