A Texas pastor has spoken out after she was lambasted on the Internet for supposedly failing to leave a server a tip and instead leaving a condescending message.
According to MSNBC, the customer, who identified herself as a pastor, wrote “I give God 10%, Why do you get 18?” as well as putting a zero in the tip space.
The customer was supposedly part of a party of 20 people — something she denies — that split the check in an attempt to avoid paying the 18 percent gratuity fee, regardless of the fact that the same person payed all of the tabs.
She took her message to the airwaves and said she actually left a second cash tip and is using the viral nature of the story to spread the gospel.
