A group of California lifeguards were fired by the city of El Monte after the group made a parody video of the viral video Gangnam Style.

The city fired 14 lifeguards after they posted the video on YouTube for using city property for private use, despite the lifeguards stating they were off the clock when the video was filmed.

The lifeguards felt that, at most, their supervisors could have written them up and feel the firings went much too far.

Although I had to go to YouTube to watch this, I don't think there is anything wrong with what they did. Not my kind of music or dance, but this is harmless. The lifeguards I grew up with in CA had keys to the pools, had parties with alcohol and a bunch of minor girls, and a lot of unmentionable things occurred. These kids shouldn't have been fired. Overreaction!
