    Too bad that the basic fundamentals are still not widely known by most. Like getting enough protein. No need for supplementation (protein powder) at all on a vegan diet, unless going for the Olympian Gold in weightlifting (a title won by a vegan some years back). A variety of fruits, veggies and grains can provide more than enough protein. No need for tofu, either, though when properly prepared, as Queenie explained, can taste great. ManyAgree that PCRM (Physicians Committee for Responsibile Medicine) is a very reliable source of good information.
