When it comes to the Republican party, Meghan McCain is an exception.

On a Monday appearance on the Wendy Williams Show, McCain said that, when it comes to politics, her views are strictly Republican. But when it comes to social issues, she backs gay marriage and the legalization of marijuana, two issues that Republicans tend to strongly oppose.

When asked if she smoked marijuana, McCain responded in the affirmative.

"On occasion," said McCain, adding that it is not a regular thing.

McCain said she supports the legalization of marijuana because the tax benefits could greatly stimulate the American economy.

McCain also said that she feels that being a Republican is about following the Constitution and, because all men are created equal, that gay men should be allowed to marry.

McCain is a weekly guest on News/Talk 92.3 KTAR's Mac & Gaydos Show every Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.

    You are nail on head about the legalization of pot and that gay men and lesbian women should be allowed to marry! Most sense I've read all day!

    Now I know I've been hard on Mrs McCain, (no pun intended, this time), but she is quickly becoming my new favorite Republican. While most Republicans are just straight up morons who can't think for themselves, she seems like a breath of fresh air. From a party who has lost alot of supporters over the years, they will need more rational young people like this, if they want to have a chance at any election in the future. But, I do still want to motorboat her!!!!!

    WHO CARES. Really who cares what she thinks? She's the daughter of someone important. That's kin to referencing something your moms, friend's 3rd cousin's old college roommate said. Again...WHO CARES.

    She shows me why she is still single. What a completely unattractive person. A self-absorbed trust fund kid who just HAS to go around proving that she's the most spoiled fat brat in this whole state. I warn my sons about tramps like this all the time. If she thinks it's cute to embarrass daddy in public, just wait until she gets a husband. BTW drug legalization can only help the government or economy when Obama can convince Chapo to give up his farms and labs so that Monsanto and Pfizer can take over. Fat (as Ms. McCain) Chance.
