Late last month, pop singer Selena Gomez announced a slew of show cancellations on her "Stars Dance" tour, prompting some to speculate that she was taking personal time to battle stress and possibly enter rehab.

After all, early in December, she threw a fit and dropped the F-bomb after one of her shows suffered from technical difficulties.

According to The Huffington Post, however, the 21-year-old may be suffering from Lupus, an autoimmune disease that "cause[s] facial swelling, extreme fatigue, headaches and joint pain."

Sources allege that Gomez was diagnosed a few years ago and that the disease had flared up in recent months.

A rep for Gomez issued a "no comment" when asked about a Lupus diagnosis, while another source was adamant that the singer was not having a mental breakdown, but instead, just needed "a little break."
