Report: Justin Bieber retirement announcement a 'joke'

Calm down, Beliebers. We don't think Justin is going anywhere: Justin Bieber's retirement announcement is apparently a joke.

According to TMZ, Bieber said he was retiring after his next album is released during an appearance on Power 106 in Los Angeles.

For those who are unaware, Bieber's album "Journals" is expected to his stores next week, meaning the 19-year-old singer would call it a career in just a few days.

While some would view the end of his career as a great Christmas present, it's apparently not to be.

We talked to people in Bieber's camp and they said he was joking. As one source put it, "The kid's got ambition."

Looks like it was all a publicity stunt, folks.
