Some technical difficulties led to a rare expletive uttered out of the mouth of singer/actress Selena Gomez during a concert Friday.

Gomez was performing at KIIS FM's 2013 Jingle Ball at the Staples Center in Los Angeles when some sound difficulties started taking her off her game. E! News reports she had just finished a song and let out an expletive that the crowd clearly heard.

"She for sure said 'what the f---,'" an eyewitness reveals to E! News.

The singer, who normally keeps her material fairly clean, later apologized to the crowd for the sound not working correctly -- but not for the expletive.

Us Weekly reports the crowd was made up of mostly children. The sound never got better for her, and she left the stage frustrated and didn't finish her set.
