The boy band is back in town. Well, maybe.

According to the New York Post, Justin Timberlake and former *NSYNC members will reunite for a special performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

The *NSYNC crew (J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick) was reportedly spotted in the VIP section of Timberlake's Miami concert on Friday. The boys were joined by Jay Z, Jessica Biel and Timberlake's mom.

MTV announced on Thursday that Timberlake will perform at the VMAs, where he will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award.

The singer is up for six nominations including video of the year, best male video and best pop video, among others.

Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke will also perform at the show, set to air live on Aug. 25 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.,
