Frank Ocean has been forced to cancel the rest of a sold-out Australian tour after learning he has torn a vocal cord.

The singer became aware of the problem while performing in Melbourne on Thursday. "I'm sick ... I don't know if you care," Ocean told the crowd. After finishing the show, a medical exam confirmed vocal cord damage.

"It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal cords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice."

Adele, John Mayer and Bjork have also previously canceled tour dates due to vocal cord complications.
