Stevie Wonder boycotts Florida over Zimmerman verdict
During his concert in Canada on Sunday, the 63-year-old singer told the crowd that he will boycott performing in Florida until the state's Stand Your Ground law is abolished.
"I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again," Wonder told the crowd. "As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world."
Florida's Stand Your Ground law gives people wide latitude to use deadly force rather than retreat during a fight.
A fan in the audience managed to capture the musician's speech on camera and posted it online.
