John Mayer got emotional on stage when he professed his love for Katy Perry during his Wisconsin concert on Saturday.

Mayer, 35, told the crowd that Perry was by his side after undergoing surgery for throat granuloma. According to NY Daily News, the operation left the singer on a year-long musical hiatus.

"She was more incredible than I ever thought," said Mayer. "I would whisper in her ear and she would order for me with the waiter."

Mayer then dedicated his next song, "A Face to Call Home," to Perry and the crowd burst into applause.

The couple reportedly broke up back in March, but a recent Instagram photo posted by Perry shows they reunited to celebrate the 4th of July.,
