'Family Guy' brings Brian Griffin back from the dead
The beloved "Family Guy" talking dog, Brian Griffin, returned to the Fox adult cartoon on Sunday and viewers are barking with joy.
We recently told you about "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane's interest in reprising the role of Brian, who was killed off the show earlier this season. Though at the time, there was no telling how or when that would occur.
The pup turned up during the Christmas special over the weekend, all thanks to character Stewie, who traveled back in time and saved Brian from the car crash that originally took his life.
Since Brian's demise, eager viewers started a Change.org petition that begged Fox execs to bring back the witty dog. It seems that either Fox and MacFarlane heard the cry of over 128,000 signers, or this was in the cards all along.
Following Sunday's episode, the show's fans took to Twitter to express their boundless love for Brian. MacFarlane also chimed in and thanked viewers for their support.
Oh and hey... thanks for caring so much about the canine Griffin. He is overcome with gratitude.— Seth MacFarlane (@SethMacFarlane) December 16, 2013
