College students will soon get the chance to learn all about zombies, which is great news for those who feel brain-dead after a long weekend of partying.

According to Entertainment Weekly, AMC and UC Irvine have partnered to offer a college course called "Society, Science, Survival: Lessons from the AMC's The Walking Dead."

"Fans of the show know that The Walking Dead is about more than zombies; it's about survival, leadership and adapting to situations that are perilous and uncertain," AMC's vice president of promotions said in a press release.

The free course will also be available to students outside the UC Irvine campus. Heck, you don't even need to be a student to sign up.

Enrollment is open now, and the eight-week online course begins Oct. 14, the day after the series' season four premiere.

Coincidence? Probably not.
