Studio talks 'Fast & Furious' after Paul Walker's death
Universal Studios executives met with the film's director, James Wan, on Sunday and discussed plans moving forward. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Fast & Furious 7," which is currently filming, will be delayed but not abandoned completely.
Production was on a short break during Thanksgiving, but the 40-year-old actor was scheduled to return to work on Monday.
It could be at least a week until the filmmakers decide on the creative direction of the franchise, reports Access Hollywood.
Walker was killed in a single-car accident while on his way home from a charity fundraiser in Santa Clarita, Calif. on Saturday afternoon. He was a passenger in 2005 red Porsche Carrera GT that lost control and hit a tree and pole, before it burst into flames.
Walker's rep issued a statement confirming the actor and driver both died in the crash.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident and said speed was a factor.
