The maker of canned soup, Pepperidge Farm cookies and V8 juice reported third-quarter profit that beat Wall Street expectations.

The technology company, which is in the midst of splitting in two, reported second-quarter net income that beat expectations.

The Gap Inc., down 55 cents to $38.01

The online travel company sold its stake in Chinese travel service eLong to a group of businesses for about $671 million.
