(AP) - ON THE RADAR: A Senate Committee was expected to approve legislation to close a loophole that allows cyberstalking apps to operate secretly on a cellphone and transmit the user's location.
CYBER SNITCH: Telephone companies can't disclosing to businesses the locations of people making traditional phone calls. But there's no such prohibition for a mobile device that sends an email, links to a website or launches an app.
STOPPING STALKERS: Victim's advocacy groups said the bill is a common-sense step to curb stalking and domestic violence by weakening a tool that gives one person power over another.
