Barrow, St. Joseph’s offer groundbreaking research, treatments

PHOENIX — Barrow Neurological Institute and St. Joseph’s continue to provide groundbreaking care and research.

In 1997, Barrow established the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center, providing the latest in diagnosis, treatment, therapy and education.

In December of 2013, Barrow opened the Gregory W. Fulton ALS and Neuromuscular Disorders Center, providing state of the art care to ALS, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis patients and their families.

Not to be outdone, the St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center boasts Arizona’s only lung transplant program. The facility also houses some of the nation’s top neurosurgeons, one of whom was responsible for bringing a miraculous recovery to one University of Arizona student back in 2011.
