Main Street Minute: Clinic opens in Chandler

• A grand opening is set for Thursday afternoon at the new UCR Health Centers clinic in Chandler. The clinic is located on Alma School Road north of Queen Creek Road and takes walk-ins for non-severe illnesses. The staff also does a wide range of testing, including X-rays not normally offered at clinics.
• A free concert Thursday night at Luke Air Force Base for military members and their families. Jerrod Niemann will be playing along with the Swon Brothers and Laura Walsh. “Salute to the Troops” starts at 6:30 p.m. and is open to anyone, active or retired, with a military ID.
• The Roosevelt School District is hiring. The district needs teachers and kitchen assistants for several schools.
