• The company behind Mrs. Fields cookies and TCBY is looking to expand in Phoenix, with several combination locations. The hope is to open the first location here this year.
• A popular pizza joint is ramping up its presence in Arizona. Fired Pie just opened its fifth location in north Scottsdale off Greenway-Hayden Loop and Scottsdale Road. Three others are set to open this year, including one in Phoenix near Second and Jefferson streets.
• CarMax is hiring sales consultants, retail managers and service workers for Valley locations.
