Main Street Minute: Scottsdale hotels enjoy increase in business

• Hotels and resorts business in Scottsdale continued to grow in April. Occupancy, average daily rate and revenue per room were all up compared to the year before. Revenue per room gained the most, going up by 8.3 percent. Overall, U.S. hotel occupancy was up 3.2 percent in April, to 65 percent.
• Desert Schools Credit Union is hiring for several Valley locations. Collection representatives, bank tellers, account representatives and personal accountants are the available positions. Applications can be made in person or online.
• St. Luke’s Medical Center is hiring. The hospital needs admission attendants, scheduling coordinators, RN case managers and housekeeping. All openings are full time.
