KTAR's Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, businesses that are opening and events across the community. Each weekday these stories air on KTAR at 7:27 a.m. More information on those stories can be found below.

• The owner of The Yard in Phoenix is planning to open a similar restaurant in downtown Tempe. The estimated $9 million dollar project will sit on the corner of Farmer Avenue and First Street. The restaurant will have a large patio for live music, and games such as cornhole and horseshoes. No timetable for construction has been set yet.

• Goodwill is holding a career expo at University of Phoenix Stadium on Thursday. Hundreds of employers will be on hand. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Quik Trip is hiring, in need of cashiers and overnight workers at several locations. Pay starts at $8.50 an hour for clerks, and $11 an hour for overnight assistants.
