Must we play weatherman on Facebook?
I think we got it! It's really, really, really cold in most parts of the country, while we enjoy some of the most beautiful weather here in Arizona.
However, why is it that many of us feel the need to play weatherman on Facebook? Why is it that we need to rub it in the faces of those who can't feel their own faces?
Am I the only one tired of seeing pictures of people's car dashboard noting our own warm temperatures? Am I the only one tired of reading people's posts about how great the weather is and how glad they are that they're not shoveling snow? Can't we be a little more original with our celebrations?
Remember, the summer will sneak upon us and we will find ourselves battling scorching 115 degree weather and wondering why we live here. Though our brethren to the northeast may still be defrosting, you can count on the fact that it will be their turn to remind us how miserable our climate can be. It's true, we won't be shoveling the heat, but I, for one, do not want to read those annoying posts.
So, instead of rubbing it in the faces of those in America who are freezing, let's stay at home this weekend, lie by the pool in our bathing suits, put a nice steak on the grill, pop open a cold one and just know that we have some of the best weather in the country.
