PHOENIX — After brewing up a plan to help the Prescott Firefighter Charities after the Yarnell Hill tragedy, members of the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild were able to present the organization a check for more than $60,000 this week.
Nearly 40 breweries from across the state donated time and ingredients to create the Heroes 19 beer.
“It was delicious, I wish there was more, but at the same time, I hope we never have to brew it again,” said Arizona Craft Brewers Guild President Michael Marquess.
The beer sold out in record time.
“This says we are good folk and we know how to take care of our neighbors,” said Marquess.
All proceeds from the beer sales will help the families of the fallen 19 hotshots.
