The Go Daddy Cares program has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities.
“Not only do as much as we can, but give to those organizations that aren’t traditionally on the normal list of where people give,” said Go Daddy Chief People Officer Auguste Goldman. “We give to smaller organizations, organizations that a lot of people haven’t heard about, always in the communities that we serve.”
Goldman also said that, while Go Daddy Cares prefers to donate to the little guys, they also look to help traditional charities.
“Our traditional charities are ones that directly affect children, that directly affect people who are in need,” he said. “We also give a lot to animal shelters and the Humane Society.”
When decided what charities to support, Go Daddy looks at getting the “most bang for their buck” and getting as many dollars as possible to those who need it most.
Go Daddy also lets customers get in on the giving and has raised thousands by asking them to round up to the next dollar amount and donate that money to one of four charities.
The Go Daddy Cares program donates to a total of 60 charities, all of which are in communities where the company has offices.
