Yesterday, I "volunteered" to sit in a HOT patrol car to demonstrate why NOT to leave children, pets, or anyone unattended in a hot parked car. Many of you may have seen the video from WSB-TV (link below), here is a more in depth behind the scenes video from that demonstration. http://bcove.me/7vsk6224

Enduring heat can often be a point of pride for Arizonans, but hot cars are nothing to mess with.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia demonstrated the dangers last Thursday when a deputy sat in a hot car, filming the results. The Facebook post featuring the video has since gone viral, reaching over 3 million views.

In the video, Deputy Robin Regan immediately started sweating and began to feel sick at the 15-minute mark in the vehicle.

Ten minutes later when he got out of the car that had reached 125 degrees, his heart rate hit 151 beats per minute and he had entered the early stages of heat stroke.
