News is a tricky business to be in, no matter which field you enter, but few require on-the-fly thinking like live television.
Take Fox 10 Phoenix weatherman Cory McCloskey. When the map he was using experienced some major technical errors, he was, dare we say, on fire with the funny.
While it obviously wasn’t 3,000 degrees in Cave Creek (it’s not a volcano, people) McCloskey rolled with the numbers like a boss. He not only glazed over the situation, but made us all laugh doing it.
The best line? “I think steel boils at this temperature.”
And now we know if it ever does get that hot in the Valley, McCloskey will keep his cool.
