Over-excited speller celebrates too early
Nothing says middle school like awkward moments, nervous kids and spelling bees. This excited eighth-grader just hit the trifecta in this year's National Spelling Bee.
After receiving his word, "kabaragoya", Jacob was so convinced he lucked out with an easy word he began to celebrate a bit too early.
You can only imagine his surprise when he heard the oh-so-dreaded "ding" of the bell and found that his spelling was incorrect.
Luckily, he handled his defeat gracefully and still high-fived all the continuing contestants.
Don't worry, Jacob, there's always spell check!
