If love really is the universal language understood around the world, then no proposal will ever come close to the one 21-year-old Jack Hyer pulled off earlier this week.

Hyer, a recent graduate from the University of Montana, wrote in a travel journal back in Sept. 2010 that he would marry then-girlfriend Becca Strellnauer someday.

In the interim, he spent the last four years working on a proposal video played to the tune of 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)' by the Proclaimers.

The twist?

He filmed the video as he traveled the globe -- 26 countries and 100,000 miles to be exact.

From Israel to China to France to Tanzania to Turkey and even Thailand, the well-traveled lip-syncer pulled out all the stops.

And for those wondering, Strellnauer said yes.
