Talk about professionalism.
Learning of a loved one’s suicide is never easy, but learning of a loved one’s suicide on live TV — and then reporting on it — must be nigh-unbearable.
According to The Huffington Post, Lee Chingyu, a news anchor for NextTV News in Taiwan, was recently on live TV when the story of a man who committed suicide came across her teleprompter.
As Chingyu reports on the tragic breaking news, she learns that the deceased young man is actually a friend of hers.
Speaking as a fellow reporter, I admire this young woman’s strength and composure.
