Man caught by TV camera taking selfie with Calif. wildfire

There is a time and place for most things.

It's pretty safe to say that while helicopters try and curb the flames of a series of California wildfires that has forced thousands to flee and burned dozens of homes is neither when it comes to taking a selfie.

But that's what one California man decided was in his best interest on Wednesday, and a news camera caught him making what was, hopefully, a severe lapse in judgement in an area that had apparently already been evacuated.

Hopefully he got enough likes on Instagram and Facebook to make the risk of standing under a helicopter dropping thousands of pounds of liquid worth it.

You can see supreme feet at about the 30-second mark below in a video that was first pointed out by a Reddit user:
