Mother duck talks her ducklings down from ledge at college campus

Parents at some point have to take a step back and let their children spread their wings. But sometimes, they need to jump in and show the kids how it’s done first.
You’re about to see one example of the metaphor, but don’t expect to see any humans playing the situation out.
In a video posted to YouTube earlier this week, a mother duck and her 10 ducklings are seen on a ledge at the University of California Davis.
The mother jumps down from the ledge, but her children hesitate, possibly never having leapt from such a height. Eventually, the mother coaxes each of her ducklings to take the plunge. If only we could understand their language.
“If all your friends jump off a bridge, would you do it too?”
