Remember Eric, the homeless man who was the focal point of a lottery “prank” that saw him “win” $1,000 in a video that went viral in March?
His story isn’t close to over.
After the first video enjoyed international success, YouTuber MagicofRahat set up an online fundraising page to help get Eric back on his feet. He just didn’t know how well it would go.
People from across the world contributed more than $40,000 to Eric’s cause. Rather than handing Eric a check, Rahat used the money to rent and furnish a house for Eric in addition to establishing a massive savings account for him.
Talk about a feel-good moment for your Friday.
