A sad, yet bizarre, event ends in a feat of united strength.

Franc Us, an 86-year-old man from Fairfield, Conn., somehow became trapped between the door and chassis of a pickup truck on Sunday afternoon. According to The Huffington Post, "the truck was also wedged up against the garage's doorjamb."

Authorities arrived at Us' home after neighbors heard the man crying for help and called 911.

After analyzing the situation, the Fairfield firefighters decided to remove the car using nothing but their bare hands.

As of Monday, Us was in critical condition. He may have been trapped for two hours before 911 was called.
